As founding Principal of Royal ISD’s STEM Academy, I am pleased to be given the opportunity to begin a new chapter in Royal ISD’s history. The 2014-2015 school year marked the beginning of a new campus to the Royal ISD family. The STEM Academy is a culmination of hard work and dedication by many in the district to provide rigorous curriculum that encourages creativity through project-based learning.

I bring the belief that we are personally responsible for ourselves, each other, and our society. That one person’s success is not another person’s failure. Our students must be prepared to meet the needs of our fast growing economy requiring 21st Century skills. Our duty as educators is to provide an environment that allows students to grow mentally as well as academically.

As principal of the STEM Academy, I begin my 22nd year in education. I have served in many capacities within the K-12 educational system. Having done so, I bring experience that prepares students K through college. I received my bachelor’s degree in Education from Pittsburg State University in 1995. After six years in the classroom, I graduated with my Masters in Counseling in 2001 from the University of Houston Victoria and served as a school counselor for seven years before returning to the University of Houston Victoria in 2006, where I completed a Masters in Administration and have served in an administrative role for the past 7 years.

I am celebrating my 17th wedding anniversary with my husband Chris Glenn and together we have two children, Braidee (13) and Rylee (11). When I am not working, I enjoy watching my children play softball and traveling. I have currently seen 35 of the 50 states!

Warmest Regards,

KT Trimbur-Glenn
